Whatever you are going through right now I encourage you to repeat this phrase, “This is only temporary”. Now I very much understand this is easier said than done. This is why I compiled a list of online and telephone resources you can access right from your couch. From meditation and journaling to helplines and yoga, with these resources, you can feel happy and connected while responsibly social distancing.

LGBT National Help Center – Support Education and Community Organizing
IMAlive – Online Peer Support Center
MentalHealth.gov – Information on how to get help, or support someone you love, provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Ok2Talk – an online outlet for teens and young adults with mental illness to talk about their stories, find support, and discuss the diagnoses they may have received.

NAMI 1-800-950-NAMI – National hotline for the National Alliance of Mentally Ill. NAMI supports and encourages self-help activities and consumer-run programs including peer support, housing, day centers, small businesses, clubhouses, and drop-in centers
Borderline Personality Resource Center 1-888-694-2273 – The Borderline Personality Disorder Resource Center hotline is monitored by certified social workers. They can provide immediate over-the-phone crisis counseling and can refer you to local resources in your area.
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline – 1-800-273-8255 This suicide prevention hotline is available 24/7 to offer a compassionate ear — no matter what you’re dealing with.
Veteran Crisis Line – 800-273-8255 This is a crisis support line specifically for veterans and active service members, especially for those contemplating suicide. It also offers help with other mental health issues, such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and substance abuse.
