For 30 years, Leadership Medina County has been part of the fabric of our community, inspiring our county’s top leaders to take responsibility for the greater good. Now, more than ever, leaders must be ready to step up when faced with today’s challenges. Ask any of our over one thousand graduates and they will tell you: there’s no better path to leadership than through the Leadership Medina County. It will arm you with a broad understanding of our county’s most pressing issues and the ability to activate an influential network.
THE LEADERSHIP MEDINA COUNTY EXPERIENCE:
For nine months starting in September, a competitively selected class of our community’s top leaders gain a true understanding of the people and issues shaping Medina County’s future. More importantly, they see how they can impact those issues. Participants gain:
• Powerful experiences that will change how you see yourself and your role as a leader.
• Comprehensive understanding of the assets and issues of our community.
• Genuine connections and life-long relationships with a diverse network of professional peers from all sectors and areas of our community.
WHAT IS THE LEAD INSTITUTE?
Leadership Medina County’s LEAD (Leadership Exploration And Development) Institute program is designed for those looking for professional development training and to further develop their leadership skills. Participants will be presented with the necessary tools, resources, information, and networking to benefit themselves and the businesses they support as they continue to grow both personally and professionally as community and business leaders. The program focuses on developing communication and strategic thinking skills.
In addition to current professional development training delivered by top corporate trainers and university professors, participants will also be provided with curriculum from Edward O’ Malley’s Your Leadership Edge from the Kansas Leadership Center. This curriculum focuses on adaptive leadership skills that will be applied in the classroom and in their personal, professional, and community contexts. The LEAD Institute starts in September and ends in May.
