What you eat is roughly 80% of your health profile. According to the U.S. Surgeon General, 2/3 of all deaths are directly affected by improper diet and poor eating habits. What about your immune system? Are there actions you can take to fortify your body defense system balance? The answer is YES!
If you ingest unnatural food and chemicals, your immune status can lower to unwanted weak levels. MSG, food dyes, preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, herbicides, and pesticides have been used on or added to our food in the U.S. with governmental approval. They are hormone disruptors and adversely affect all body systems.
Food scientists do research to identify the addictive properties of engineered food products. e.g. artificial salmon created in a laboratory and approved by the FDA. Some food items were “created by genetic engineering.” That product is not for me; I wonder how my body would know what to do with artificial foods. Become an avid label reader; when you can’t pronounce an ingredient or you don’t know what it is, put the item back on the shelf until you do. Seedless fruits and vegetables do not come from nature; buy them with seeds because they do come from nature and buy organic as you can because your liver will love you for it. Our livers are struggling to get rid of all the toxicity in and out of our bodies.
Shop on the periphery of the grocery store where the “live” food is displayed. Your body is one magnificent healing machine and was created to heal itself given the right nutrients and environment. Real food does that. Processed foods and convenient drive-throughs may be quick and easy, but they set you up for a weak immune system.
Get at least 7 hours of restful sleep, adequate hydration with filtered, alkaline water, clean air filtration in your home, and sunlight; all contribute to a healthy immune system.
