Winter’s here, with freezing temperatures and gray skies. Personally, I like to hunker down and cuddle with my cats. For some though it can be a difficult time of isolation, low energy and sadness. Often this is just the winter blues, but sometimes it’s due to Seasonal Affective Disorder, (SAD).
I don’t know much about it, but I have discovered that Massage Therapy is one effective method of addressing the symptoms.
IT’S BEEN SHOWN TO:
• REDUCE STRESS, ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION
• IMPROVE MOOD
• RELIEVE MUSCLE PAIN AND TENSION
• IMPROVE SLEEP
• SOOTHE THE NERVOUS SYSTEM
What I do know a lot about is what I provide for my clients. Imagine coming into Calming Comfort Massage Therapy on a cold gray day. Inside there’s a fireplace burning, (ok, so it’s electric but it still provides ambiance and warmth), candles flickering, a cushy table with a heating pad, warm blankets, dim lighting and even hot stones to melt away the blues. I also provide my 36 years of experience treating and relieving chronic pain, stress and strain. My work is therapeutic and relaxing, and I’m happy to bring calming comfort to those who need it in the long months ahead.
