Our mission at the Medina County Health Department is to prevent disease, assure a healthful environment, prolong life, and promote the well-being of all residents living in Medina County. Many of our services and programs focus on educating all citizens, but we also recognize that women experience unique health issues and conditions.
To support this mission, Medina County Health has a team of health care professionals to meet the many different needs of our community members including a full-time family practice physician, a full-time family nurse practitioner, and a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who are all trained to provide complete services for men, women, and families.
An important area of health we focus on is reproductive health. Taking steps to care for and support healthy function is important to overall health and wellbeing.
General physicals, cancer screenings, low-cost reproductive health care, and consultations on reproductive health issues are just some of the services available. Regular health exams and tests can help find problems before they start. Some reproductive health issues are common to both men and women and if not taken care of early could lead to long-term problems.
To make caring for your reproductive health convenient and easily accessible, Medina County Health welcomes all Medina County residents regardless of insurance or income.
