I love the start of a new year! Cleaning should not be a second job. We all have New Year’s Resolutions, but consider making some cleaning resolutions for 2021. Cleaning should not be a second job and there are a number of time-saving strategies to keep the mess to a minimum and keep your weekend afternoons free from all-day cleaning marathons. Here are a few of my favorite ways to make cleaning easier in the New Year.
10 MINUTES A DAY KEEPS THE JUNK PUT AWAY. Do a daily walk-through. Put toys away, hang up coats, sweaters, towels, etc., and put away anything that wandered out during the day.
DO ONE LOAD OF LAUNDRY EVERY DAY. Avoid an overflowing, overwhelming amount of laundry to take care of over the weekend. Do one load a day, fold it while you relax and watch TV. Voila!
MANAGE THE MAIL. Even in our e-mail age, most still get plenty of snail mail. Open it over a wastebasket so unwanted quickly disappears.
USE A MICROWAVE COVER. Even covering with a paper towel prevents food from splattering on the inside of your microwave. It’s much easier to replace dirty paper towel than clean the inside.
CALL PETAL SWEET CLEANING. Cleanliness and sanitization have never been so crucial than right now. As a cleaning company, we have always been proactive in promoting clean and healthy environments – it’s what we do! We’ve always embraced this responsibility, now we’ve taken our business to new levels. In collaboration with the ISSA and ARCSI national cleaning organizations, we have expanded our knowledge about deep sanitizing, hospital-grade non-toxic products and adapted new techniques to ensure a safe and healthy environment for both commercial and residential clients.
