Do You Worry About The Financial Future of Your Business?
The holiday season should be a time of family, friends, relaxation, and giving. Unfortunately, the holiday season can also be stressful for businesses. Historically, October- December is typically one of the busiest times for small businesses. In some cases, sales and new customer acquisitions during the holiday season may make or break the entire year.
Rachel Shepard, Founder and CEO of LonaRock, LLC and LonaRock Capital Group, LLC, has a mission to empower investors, executives, and business owners by providing strategic business planning, business debt solutions, and macroeconomic research. Rachel can spot critical economic trends and potential systematic risks and offer solutions.
She works with start-ups and emerging market companies to middle market companies.
Rachel shares her business tips to enjoy a joyful and prosperous season.
1.) Be mindful of the customers and organizations you serve. Take time to provide exceptional care for customers by understanding what is important to them and rewarding them for choosing your products or services throughout the year. Connect with customers emotionally, share your appreciation, and offer loyalty specials & discounts!
2.) Form a solid team and community. It’s essential to hire the right people. The team needs to connect with customers, provide customer support, and be available to work together during the busy holiday season. Spread the long hours among the group to lessen the feelings of holiday burnout. Leverage community relationships to help grow the business through referrals. Consider partnering with other local businesses and community organizations.
3.) Take the time to plan and set end-of-the-year sales and profit goals. Following the plan and reaching the end-of-year goals can provide momentum for the new year! Tracking finances is needed to ensure success and to keep the business moving in the right direction.
